A Hospitality Committee has been recently formed to gather at the church the day of the funeral to greet the family and the mourners; these volunteers will also attend the funeral liturgy.
The Rite of Wake Committee is being formed to assist the Deacons at the funeral home Wake Rite. These volunteers will join with the Deacon to offer on behalf of St. Paul Parish Community the condolences of the parish.
Annually, a Memorial Mass is offered every November for those parishioners and their family members who have died during the past year. A light refreshment reception follows the Memorial Mass.
Twice annually the parish offers a five-week series for the recently bereaved. The Pastoral Associate and a volunteer Hospice nurse facilitate these sessions. Each session contains time for sharing, prayer, along with helpful suggestions and handouts. The five-week sessions conclude with a prayer service in the church.
