EDGE

EDGE is a Catholic middle school youth ministry for early adolescents in grades 6, 7 and 8. The EDGE is designed to meet the educational, spiritual, emotional, and social needs of young adolescents.

Goals of THE EDGE:

1. Foster a transforming spiritual experience of Jesus through the liturgy, allowing early adolescents to have a profound experience in the Word of God and the Eucharist.

2. Create a positive experience of the Catholic Church for early adolescents.

3. Assist middle school youngsters in gaining an understanding and appreciation for what the Catholic Church teaches as beliefs.

4. Incorporate the Catholic Church's vision of social justice and peace into their spiritual life.

5. Develo an identity in middle school youth and in THE EDGE ministry as being a vital and visual presence within the parish.

Registration for The EDGE 2009 - 2010 has begun. Families who are NEW to The EDGE need to contact Marcy Fessler for information regarding parent participation. The registration deadline for The EDGE is Friday August 7, 2009, with no exceptions. If you have any additional questions please contact Marcy Fessler at 330-499-2201 ext. 327.
