We are always looking for ways to improve our computer lab
and the technology that is available to our students.
Here is a list of activities that we are incorporating for 2007-2008

Kindergarten ~ Using Kidspiration and Clifford to develop reading and hand-eye coordination skills

1st grade ~ Developing hand-eye coordination skills as well as reading and science using Clifford and Sammy's Science House

2nd Grade ~ Review basic computer terminology, Kidspiration, Clifford, Read/Write/Type and Max Write (an entry level word processing program)

3rd Grade ~ Introduction of tool bars using Microsoft Word, Internet Safety and research, and Read/Write/Type

4th Grade ~ Internet Safety, Internet Terminology, Typing Skills using Ultrakey and coordinating topics for research with classroom teachers

5th Grade ~ Internet Safety, Internet Research, Microsoft Word report, and topics with classroom teachers such as Ice Age and Solar System

6th Grade ~ Business letters, Tables, Flyer, and other miscellaneous documents using Microsoft Office

7th Grade ~ Using Microsoft Excel using function formulas, absolute references and "if" statements plus creating charts

8th Grade ~ Using concepts of slide layout, graphics, transitions, and other techniques to create slide presentations using Microsoft Powerpoint
