Our church encourages young people sixteen and up to consider reaffirming their baptismal vows through the Rite of Confirmation. To prepare for this service and to understand what Christian discipleship means, we hold classes each Winter/Spring for interested students. The Rite of Confirmation is not required to participate in the Eucharist or to be active in worship and parish activities at St. Paul’s, but is an important way for a person to proclaim their commitment to Jesus and to publicly declare their intent to be an active part of the church community. We strongly encourage young people to participate.

Young people who do not elect to take confirmation classes are most welcome to participate in all youth programs such as Journey to Adulthood, St. Paul’s youth group fellowship, mission projects, and the midweek puppet program. Young people interested in being confirmed should contact Father Larry Walters at (517) 787-3370 to discuss their interest with him.
