We use the Journey to Adulthood curriculum developed by St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Durham, NC. We have three class divisions; Rite-13, J2A and YAC. Place-ment is by age/and or grade. Each group meets separately with two adult advisors. We have a shared snack and prayer time. The program seeks to provide young people a solid Christian formation experience and to prepare them to assume adult roles in the church, home and greater world.

Rite-13 students enter the program in grade 6 or 7 and follow the Rite-13 program for two years. At the end of the two years, we honor their entrance into adulthood with a special ceremony-the Rite-13 ceremony
J2A students, in grades 8, 9 and or 10, follow the J2A program for another two years. Toward the completion of this program they participate in a spiritual trip-the J2A pilgrimage.
YAC students, in their last two years of high school, are mentored by parish leaders as they explore and learn about the different adult ministry areas of the church.
