Education & Fellowship for Youth
St Paul's Youth Education & Fellowship Programs
Education: St. Paul's Youth Jr. & Sr. High Sunday Mornings at 10:00 AM

Our combined Jr. & Sr. High youth gather on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. to learn how to apply the teachings of Jesus into their everyday lives. Lessons taught demonstrate the timeless nature of Jesus' teaching.

As we have learned from the disciples of long ago, fellowship together helps us grow and develop in the Christian life. We also hope to look to the bigger community of faith and to share in fun and learning with other Christian youth groups in our area. We have movies, field trips, and overnights to build bonds between our students and to model Christian love and behavior.
CONFIRMATION

Young people 16 to 18 who would like to publicly acknowledge their discipleship by participating in the Rite of Confirmation may take special classes to prepare them for this service.

Our church encourages young people sixteen and up to consider reaffirming their baptismal vows through the Rite of Confirmation. To prepare for this service and to understand what Christian discipleship means, we hold classes each Winter/Spring for interested students. The Rite of Confirmation is not required to participate in the Eucharist or to be active in worship and parish activities at St. Paul's, but is an important way for a person to proclaim their commitment to Jesus and to publicly declare their intent to be an active part of the church community. We strongly encourage young people to participate.

Young people who do not elect to take confirmation classes are most welcome to participate in all youth programs. Youth interested in being confirmed should contact Fr. Larry Walters at (517) 787-3370 to discuss their interest with him.

MISSION AND SERVICE:

We believe it is important for all Christians to honor their baptismal promise to love and serve all people. We offer our students opportunities to serve others; in the church family, in the community and around the world.

Some projects take place during the times we meet regularly on Sunday mornings and occasional Sunday evenings for youth fellowship.

Special projects may take place at other times, such as on Saturdays or after school, or during the summer.

Where we meet depends on the project; some are done at church; others as field trips.
