Instructions for the use of the Mail List


The instructions to the Mailing List follows. You can use the Mailing List to keep track of the people that are coming to your site, and who are interested in the products or services that you sell. The Mailing List makes it convenient for you to contact all those that are interested of the changes that you make or the new products or services that you offer.
You can use these instructions to understand the use and functionality of the Mailing List.

To begin use of the mailing list, you will need to add the maillist block to one of your pages. To do this, open any page in page builder and click one of the add buttons. Scroll through the list of options and click on 'Maillist'. Then click 'Next Step'. This will give you the following:

Insert Blank Line:On Off

Title: Type here what you want to be placed on the left side of the page next to the two fields where your customers will enter their information.
Title Color: Use the dropdown box offered to choose one of the colors we offer. You can click on the 'View Colors' button at the bottom of the page to see all of the colors that we offer. Use the 'Back' button of your browser to go back to page builder. If you want to use a color other than the ones that we offer, you can type it into the 'Other Color' option. However, not all colors are viewable on others computers. Those colors that you can see may not be seen by others.
Title Size: Choose a font size from the ones that we offer. 1 is very small lettering and 7 is very large. There is none larger than 7.
Title Bold: Select 'On' if you want your text that you typed in for your title to be bold, 'Off' if you do not.
Description: Type in the description of your mailing list. This will show just below the text that you typed in for your title.
Description Color: Use the drop down box to choose one of the colors that we offer. See also 'Title Color'.
Description Size: Choose the font size for your description. See also 'Title Size'.
Description Bold: Select 'On' if you want your text that you typed in for your description to be bold, 'Off' if you do not.
Insert Blank Line: If you want a blank line to be placed underneath the mailing list block on your page, select 'On.' Select 'Off' if you do not want the extra line.
Save the page after you get done working on it. When someone visits your page, they will see two blank fields: one for name, and one for email address. If they type in their information, they will go into your mailing list that we will cover in a moment. This is all you need to do to set up your mailing list.
After you have saved the page, you will need to set up your mailing list. Go to the Construction Tools and choose EZ-Mailing List. Click the 'Go' button. This will give you three options: Edit Configuration, View HTML, and Main Menu. Click on Edit Configuration. You will see the following:

These are the options to set up your Mailing List.

Confirmation Title: Type in the title that you want shown at the top of the page that will be displayed after a customer types in their name and email address. When they click on the 'Submit' button, it will bring them to this page. This is generally a "Thank You" or "You have been received into our mailing list.".
Confirmation Text: Type in the text that you want to be shown underneath the title you have used. This is generally a Thank You or maybe a phone number or email address for them to contact you.
Confirmation Back Button Graphic: You can use the 'Browse' button to choose a graphic name that you want to use as your back button from this same page. If you use the browse button, and try to use any of the stock options, you will get a broken graphic. Currently, you can not use any of the stock options.
Confirmation Back Button URL: You can use the browse button to choose the page that you want your customer to return from when they click on the graphic that you have just chosen. You must type in the actual address of this page also.
Click the 'Submit' button and you will get a confirmation page. Click the 'Main Menu' button. You will come back to your three blue boxes. Now go to construction tools and choose EZ-Mailing List and click 'Go'. Again you see the three buttons. Click on 'View HTML'. You will see the following:

This is HTML code that you can place on any page that you build in HTML and want to upload. If you want a Mail List option on one of those pages, copy and paste this code onto that page. We suggest that you use copy and paste and not try to type the code in yourself.
Generally, this can result in some kind of error. It will work just like the pagebuilder pages after you upload your page. Click the 'Back' button on your browser to return to EZ-Mailing List. Click the 'Main Menu' button.

After customers have come to your page and they have entered there information into the mailing list, you will begin to have a list of email addresses of your customers. To email all or some of them, go to the administrative tools, click on Send To Email List, and click 'Go'. This will give you the following:

The send email button will send the above email to everyone on your email list.

Click the 'Submit' button and the email will be sent to everyone in you mail list.

This means that you can not send out emails advertising your business unless they request it.

To see the email addresses in your mail list, go to administrative tools, click on 'View Email List', and click 'Go'. This gives a list of all of the customers that have entered their email information. You can delete them by clicking on the blue 'delete', or you can send an email to just one of them clicking on their email address.

Click the 'Main Menu' button to return to the three blue boxes.
