Adding and Editing the Shopping Cart Block on your page.

The Shopping Cart Block

These are the instructions for adding a shopping cart block to your page. This option allows your customers to make purchases from your page builder pages rather than having to go through the catalog or order form. However, with using the shopping cart on page builder pages, you will not be able to add different items to your catalog. You can only add them at the end of your catalog. If you are using a spreadsheet (see
the catalog pages), then the shopping cart option on the page builder pages is not a good idea. The reason that this is a problem is because the shopping cart will link to line numbers of the file where your catalog is stored. If you add an item between item 2 and 3, for example, than the shopping cart block that had with item 3 is now linked to the new item that you just added.
With the page open that you want to add the shopping cart block to, use the 'Add Before' and 'Add After' buttons. When given the choice of blocks to add, scroll down until you see the 'Shopping Cart' option. Choose this and click the 'Next Step' button.
Here you will find the option to choose the item you want this block linked to. If you want this shopping cart linked to item 4, you need to choose that item. You can choose whether or not you want a blank line underneath this block by choosing the 'Yes' or 'No' radio button.
After choosing the item number that you want this shopping cart block linked to, you can click the 'Submit' button. This places a block on your page with a field to enter text, and a shopping cart button. Be sure to save your page.
The best way to set this up is to have an item, it can be a graphic or a description or both, and then right underneath this item, add the shopping cart block linked to that item. This way your customers can see the item that they are purchasing.
