Registering a domain name is an important part of having your business online. With a domain name, you have a simple way for your customers to get to your web site.

How do I register a domain name?
With EZNetTools, registering a domain name is fast and easy. Here are the steps for registering a domain name:
- Login to your account with your user ID.
- If you are a reseller, click on 'View Members' and then click on the 'Login' button of your account.
- You will then be at the 'Member Tools' page.
- By default, the 'View Web Page' will be in the white field for the Administrative Tools.
- Click on the 'View Web Page', dropping down the box.
- Click on the 'Register Domain Name' and click the 'Go' button.
- You will see the following:
Register a Domain Name
Type in the domain you want to register.
You will also see an input field and '.com' in the drop down box.
- Type in the domain name you want.
- Choose from the available .com, .net, .org.
- Click the 'Submit' button. (If you decide you do not want a domain name, you can click on the 'Return to Main Menu' button.)
- If the domain name is taken, you will get the following message:
The Domain, (thedomainnameyoutypedin).com, is Already Registered to:
Registrant: //www.registrant.net
for detailed information.
Administrative Contact: Registrant
Whois Server
This means that you can not use this domain name and you will have to try a different one. Type in a different domain name and click the 'Submit' button.
- If you do not get this message, it means that the domain name is available and you will be given a page with information to verify.
- Be sure that all of this information is correct.
- Then, as directed by the instructions, print that page.
- Click on the 'Continue Registration' button. This will take you to networksolutions.com. If it does not, go to networksolutions.com.
- Type in your domain name in the input field at networksolutions and follow the instructions there and on the printed page.
- Be sure you enter in OUR NIC Handle (DA12719-OR) as the technical contact, and OUR server names. Otherwise, you may get a headache trying to change this later.
- After registering the domain name, you will receive an email from network solutions saying the request has been accepted.
- You will receive an email from network solutions saying the registration is complete.
- Forward to us this 'Confirmation Email' along with your user ID.
- You will be e-mailed from us (support@eznettools.net), when the domain name is pointed to your account. This generally takes about 1-2 weeks.

Changing Domain Name Information
If you have already a domain name, or have registered a domain name somewhere other than the EZNetTools software, you will need to make changes to the domain name before we can point the domain name to your account.
We currently do not have available step-by-step instructions for making the changes to your domain name. Every company that offers domain names also offers different ways in making changes to these domain names. We will continually try and keep up-to-date instructions for the more popular companies. However, to make changes to your domain name, you will need to go to the company where you registered the domain name. You will need to make changes to your domain name, and you will have to enter in the following information:

After these changes have been made, you will need to forward to us the email you receive from your company stating "The changes have been Completed!" Include your user ID on this email, and we will point the domain name to your account. Within 1-2 weeks, you will receive an email from us (support@eznettools.net), letting you know that the domain name is pointed to your account.
