Setup Email Accounts Basic Instructions Error Messages
Every site that you own has 10 available email accounts. To setup one or more of these email accounts you need to go to the Administrative Tools. After choosing Setup Email Accounts click on the 'Go' button. This gives you the following:
Setup Email Accounts Note: For Security Reasons, passwords will not be displayed for accounts which were created prior to this session. Such passwords are displayed as ****** If you have forgotten a password, it can be changed with the Set Password button.
Below this text is a text box and below that, on the left, is where you will type in what you want your email address to be. Next to that, to the right, you will see a dropdown box with a domain name in it. If you have your own domain name pointing to this account, then it will be an option for setting up an email address. All domain names pointing to this account will be available in this dropdown list and emails can be setup at those names.
All e-mail accounts set up here MUST be all lowercase letters! Do not use any uppercase letters to set up an e-mail account.
After typing in the name that you want and choosing the domain name you want, you will click on the 'Add' button. This places the email address in the text box above. Click once on this email address to highlight it. Now click on the 'Set Password' button. This opens a javascript application where you will type in the new password. Be careful!! All passwords are case sensitive!! Now click on the 'OK' button. You now have an email address with the password set, but how do you receive it? Click on the 'How to retrieve email from this account' button. This opens another window that gives step by step instructions for setting up your own mail program to retrieve this mail. Print this window!
NOTE! You Must click the 'Save Changes' button before this email account will work.
At any time you can use the 'Cancel' button to return back to the three blue boxes. If you only need the information about an account, than you click on the account and click the 'Get Info' button. If you decide you no longer want one of the email accounts, then click on that email account and use the 'Remove' button.
