EZNetTools Email Options
You have reached this page because of a change in the email setup and usage. We do apologize for this inconvenience. This is what happened:
- One person abused our system by bouncing SPAM e-mail off of our servers. Millions of e-mails were sent. Subsequently, AT&T contacted us and told us to fix the problem or they would disconnect us from the Internet.
- To take care of this problem we had no choice but to institue additional secuirty features which turned off the relaying option.
You have a couple of options to solve this problem. You may want to write these down or print this page.
Option 1:
- If you want to continue using the e-mail client installed on your computer, you need to change the "send mail" (SMTP) setting on your e-mail program to the mail server of your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Your ISP is the company you use to connect to the Internet. Here are some basic instructions.
-
Contact your ISP and tell them you are setting up your send mail and ask them for the name of their mail server.
-
In the e-mail software you are using, find the setting options of your e-mail account(s) and enter your local ISP’s mail server name.
-
Apply (save) the settings.
Option 2
-
If your ISP does not offer send mail options, you may use our new Web based e-mail program. You will need to use your email account ID to login. (ie. x300002a - Note the lowercase 'x' and be sure to use your OWN account number.) If you do not know this email account ID, please follow these steps:
- Login to your account as you normally do.
- Go to the Administrative Tools/Setup Email Accounts.
- Click the 'Go' button.
- Click on the e-mail account you want to use.
- Click on the 'Set Password' button and change the password to something easy to remember.
- Now click on the 'Get Info' button
- Write down the 'Username' and 'Password'.
- Click the 'Save Changes' button.
- Login to the new system with the username and password.
- Click here to get started. If this link does not work for you, please copy and paste this URL into your Address/Location bar on your browser:
