George Rogers
Our loving husband, father, and grandpa George went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ early Tuesday morning. He was born on May 1, 1927 to Lewis and Ella Rogers of Zinc, Ark. He moved to the Yakima Valley with his young bride Esther A. Rogers, and they have been married for 57 wonderful years. George was a loving, caring, hard-working man that put a smile on everyone's face. He was a devoted Christian and loved the Lord. He also loved to fish, garden and spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a man with few needs but had a heart that never stopped giving. Anyone who has met George has seen his amazing smile and how it spreads love and joy. He will be greatly missed and forever loved. George is survived by his bride Esther of Zillah, brothers John and Steve of Yakima, Jim (Debbie) of Yakima, sisters Beth (Gill) and Jenny (Wayne) of Yakima, daughters Donna and Tempa of Ellensburg, Terri of Yakima, sons Darrel (Angie) of Zillah and Tim (Theodora) of Yakima, 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He is preceded by his parents Lewis and Ella, and siblings Cliff, Sybil, Louise and Don. Services will be held on Saturday, October 3rd at 1:00 pm at Zillah First Baptist Church.
Send Condolences.
