SUNNYSIDE - Clyde (Bill) Wallace 97 years old of Sunnyside passed away on September 24, 2009 at his home.
Bill was born on March 1, 1912 at Goldendale, Washington to Walter C. and Minnie Wallace.
Bill attended the Belma School west of Grandview, and was a Second World War veteran serving in the Army Air Force Pacific Theater from 1942 through 1945. He worked for the Oregon-Washington Telephone Company, later United Utilities retiring in 1970. Bill was a Foreman-Lineman for the maintenance crew in the Sunnyside, Yakima Valley, and Goldendale area. He enjoyed salmon fishing and telling stories.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy, a nephew Richard (Patricia) Shankle, nieces Bonnie Booze, Kay Klevin, Dorothy Ritter, and a sister Ruth Smith.
A memorial graveside service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are in the care of Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside.
