700 Linden Commons represents the pinnacle in achievement for an infill mixed-use facility. This project will combine senior housing, luxury “for-sale” condominiums, ground-floor retail, with office condos on a footprint of 35,000SF, making 700 Linden Commons a true live-work environment in the heart of the Biotech corridor of North America.
700 Linden Commons will include seven floors over two levels of underground parking, creating a unique architectural product in a growing area. 700 Linden Commons will consist of:
- 80 senior family dwelling units
- 40 “for sale” luxury condominiums
- 35,000 SF of class A retail space
- 25,000 SF of office condo space
The project will be highlighted by a functional landscape open area on the roof of the second story. With the design articulating the streetscape and creating a welcoming retail environment, 700 Linden Commons will offer residents the opportunity to shop, eat and live all within one city block.
Design Intent
700 Linden Commons is designed with a contemporary twist on Mission Revival architecture. It evokes the Spanish convention in California with its stucco walls, arches, red terra cotta clay roof tiles and a bell tower. However, modern styling and appointments set this building apart from tradition and place it squarely in the 21st century. Contemporary features include glass walls spanning several stories, straight lines, and the sheer size of the structure. The plan also incorporates street-level retail spaces, which coheres to neighboring street-level uses while providing residents of the building with onsite amenities that exceed expectations.
