Grow Utah Ventures is a private nonprofit organization directly involved in assisting a number of early stage Utah businesses in obtaining financial resources and achieving their revenue goals. Through their partners and private members, they are able to help a wide range of businesses transition from the seed to the early stages of business growth. They are also an integral player in Utah's emerging "angel network" where the resources of independent investors are combined to support selected businesses. Grow Utah Ventures continually seeks to find and support emerging businesses and entrepreneurs of promise.
Weber, Davis, and Morgan Counties are collaborating along with Weber State University to promote a project led by Grow Utah Ventures. This project is part of the “Stimulating the Expansion and Entrepreneurial Development” project, or SEED Utah. This specific project, to be titled SEED Weber/Morgan/Davis, is “designed to bring in new businesses and cultivate existing start-ups by providing resources, capital and collaboration.” The SEED Weber/Morgan/Davis project was highlighted in an article in the Utah Business Magazine.
