V-Max weighted vests are all considered short. Even the V-Max 75 lb. long vest is only 3 inches longer than the V-Max so-called short vests, and the strap is located in the same place - just under the lats and pecs, so compared to other brands, the V-Max long vests are technically short, with most of the weight located on the upper torso. This is great for pushups, pullups, dips, situps, and hyperextensions as illustrated in the Fulcrum Effect. You must use a short weight vest like V-Max when you want total core strength.
