"DRUNK DRIVER"

Do you think of me day and night?
Do you see my mangled face in the mental sight?
Do you get a shiver up your spine,
Knowing the life you took was mine?
What was it like to watch me die?
Did a tear fall on your cheek in an attempt to cry?
Do I come to you in your sleep?
Do I walk in your head in a silent creep?
Was my funeral nice?
With a little kick and spice.
Did you see my mom being strong and brave,
As she watched them lower me to my grave?
Did you see my daddy, crying sadly?
My brother and sister missing me badly?
How about my friends, still in shock,
Faces cold and hard as a rock?
My grandparents still grieve because of you making me leave.
Did you look at my sister torn about,
Did you see it in her eyes she’s missing her heart!
My brothers now insane, because of you causing so much pain!
Can you go on day by day?
How much longer do you plain to stay?
I haunt your life,
And I put you through strife.
When you wake at night in a cold sweat,
It’s because you and I, in your dream we’ve re-met!
It’s the way you saw me last, a reoccurring past.
My twisted body, up and walking,
My mangled face was once as pretty as lace.
Did you see me before you hit me?
I remember the look in your eyes!
Those dilated eyes, that drunken swerve,
Little did you know I was just around the curve!
You hit me so hard,
I flew so far.
It hurt so bad, no time to be mad.
I saw men rushing around.
I SAW MYSELF LAYING TANGLED ON THE GROUND!
I felt no more, then things started to fade.
I left my body where it lay.
Do you remember that night?
Clear as day and still in sight?
Do you think of me day and night?
Do you see my mangled face in a mental sight?
