Will-Grundy County Home Builders & Associates encourages ALL members to participate on any of the following committees. These committees keep your association running smoothly. We are always looking for fresh and new ideas. Read the descriptions of each committee below and use the form at the bottom of the page to notify us of the committee you would like to serve on. Remember, you do not belong to the association, it belongs to you! Only with your help will the WGCHBA continue to grow and thrive. Join in the fun!
INSTALLATION BANQUET- Plan the annual installation banquet held in November or December. Meets in September, October, and November as needed.
DIRECTORY- Produce the 2006 membership directory. Meets January or as needed.
GOLF OUTING - Plan the annual Summer golf outing. Meets in March, April & May, as needed.
FALL GOLF OUTING - Plan the annual fall golf outing. Meets in July, August, Sept. or as needed.
FINANCE COMMITTEE- Work on the Yearly Budget and Finances- Meets as needed and prior to yearly budgets.
GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS/Legal Defense Fund Committee- Important for the future of the housing industry, builders are especially needed. Work with local government officials with matters concerning ordinances, codes, rules and/or regulations affecting the housing industry. Meets as needed.
MEMBERSHIP/RETENTION- Plan and conduct programs for membership development. Acquaint new members with services available. Meets as needed.
WILL-GRUNDY BUILDERS FOR BETTER COMMUNITIES PAC - Meets as needed. Determines expenditures of funds to local and state political officials and plans fundraising efforts to support the fund.
PROGRAMS/EDUCATION - Plan General Membership Meetings, summer special events, or educational seminars. Meets as needed.
PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE- Plan and organize yearly association promotions through media.
RAFFLE- (Spring)-Organize and conduct the annual Raffle Celebration. Start up meetings in January.
SCHOLARSHIP/STUDENT OF MONTH - Review and interview applicants to select scholarship recipient. Contact businesses to sponsor. Meets once or twice between January & June.
COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT- Coordinates at least one project for the year as approved by the Board of Directors
BUILDING COMMITTEE- Oversees the Association building upgrades and improvements.
