Duplicate Tax Receipts Available

Receipts for property tax payments can be requested at the time taxes are paid by checking the box on the lower part of the tax bill and returning it with the payment. Duplicate receipts for property tax payments are also available from the Treasurer’s office. If you have lost your original copies of property tax receipts, we can provide official copies if you request them.

Those who need duplicate receipts can visit the township office any time during open hours, 10 – 4 Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and 1-7 on Wednesday. The office is closed on Mondays. Taxpayers can also request receipts by calling (517) 655-3193 any time. If the office is closed, leave a voice mail message for the Treasurer and tell her how you would like to receive the copies. Duplicate receipts can be mailed to you free of charge, or you can pick them up during office hours. If receipts must be faxed, the charge for this is $ 2.00 for the page and $ 1.00 for each additional page with a minimum charge of $3.00.

A “history” printout that contains property tax information for a given parcel for the past several years can also be requested. This is not an official tax receipt, but it can be useful to taxpayers because it presents several years of property tax information on the same page.
