McGwire, by another name, would not swing as sweet

It was either the Blair Witch Project or that talking brown-spotted cow The Line met at the State Fair. Either way, we decided no longer to attempt explaining the unexplainable.

The truth may be out there - but it's Mulder and Scully's job to sort it out.
Instead, we just present the facts, odd as they may sometimes be. So we give you local restaurateur Mark Maguire.

It's not so strange that he's got the same name, phonetically, as the St. Louis Cardinals' home run smasher Mark McGwire.

The freaky part is that they also look alike. So much that Maguire sometimes is approached for autographs. And, no offense, they aren't looking for a signature from a Dallas restaurateur.

Maguire is opening a new place this week at the Dallas North Tollway and Trinity Mills. The upscale restaurant's grand opening is Thursday. It is also a fund-raiser for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome
