Your Valet was founded in 1961 by Jim and Suzy Patterson in Roy, Utah, under the name of One-Hour Martinizing.
|

|
The name was changed to Your Valet in 1967.
|
|
|
|
Jim is a graduate of the University of Colorado and Suzy graduated from Colorado College. They selected Utah as the place to start their business because of its growth potential and beautiful scenery.
|
|
|
Through the years the company has grown to include six locations and over 70 employees. Jim has served the industry as president of the Utah State Dry Cleaning Association and went on to serve six years on the Board of Directors of the International Fabricare Institute. This included four years as Director for District 7 (which encompasses ten western states), one year as President and a year as Chairman of the Board.

Community Support:
Your Valet has continually been an active member in all of its communities. From supporting local arts and school programs, to running the successful “Share the Warmth” coat campaign in which Your Valet cleans donated coats and then distributes them to local shelters, Jim and Suzy Patterson and the employees of Your Valet feel it is important to contribute to the communities in which they do business.
Recycling:
Your Valet will recycle your used hangers and plastic dry cleaning bags. Simply bring them in to any of our locations for easy recylcing. We only ask that you remove all paper from your plastic before bringing it to us.
Talks:
If your service club, organization, church, school or social group needs a good idea for a program, let one of our trained dry cleaners come and talk about dry cleaning as well as how to buy and care for your clothing. If you are interested, please email us (please allow two weeks advanced notice.)
