I would like to know if anyone has any tips or suggestions for getting better ranking on google.

In my mind search engine rankings can be quite fickle and lot has changed since ICServe came out with the Keys to Success tapes. It was good information in its time but seriously needs to be updated.

To answer your question there are a number of support forums out there that could help you out. Tek-Tips is one I like to frequent. There's a lot of good brains that contribute to it and they're fairly quick to respond. Try doing a search thru this forum:

Content. Focus on that and you will be off to a good start. Google has some suggestions for in their webmasters section.

We now have the EZ-Pagemanager live in the administrative tools which allows for quick and easy access to see your meta information on all your pages. This tool is so much more easier and quicker to access than editing each page one at a time. Here are a few tutorial links that will help with seo work on accounts.

Some more seo advice:
1. First of all make sure all your pages have a title and that the title is uingue for each page. A good thing to do is use your domain name or company name then a hyphen then the name of the page. ie. EZ-Nettools - Home Page
EZ-NetTools - About us Page .....

2. Make sure you use very specific keywords. Do not use general terms like: National, School, Dance, Education, Business, Cars, ...
You can use the above if they are part of a keyword phrase like: Stars National Dance, Dance Dance Revolution, Byu-Idaho Education, Madison High School ...

3. Make sure the keywords you do use are on the pages you specify the keywords for. If not search engines will classify it as spam and will not index your sites or block them. The more times you do use those keywords on a page the better ranking on search engines you will get.

4. Make constant updates and changes to your sites. The more your site changes and updates the better ranking you get. This is why sites like Apple and Microsoft get good ranking for their keywords because they will redesign their site looks more than once a month.

5. Advertise is the best policy. You need to advertise locally, use Google's AdSense, advertise online, link exchanges, and Trader magazines. Treat your online business like a real business and do not expect it to do things for you without putting in the resources to compete with everyone else on the web. You will soon see the income roll in if you do the best to take care of your online business.

I agree with most of what Tyler said except: I've seen more and more evidence that the search engines might actually ding you for trying to use keywords. The reason is they don't want to be told how to rank/categorize your site.

The most important things to do are have a good, short title that describes what's on that particular page. And second: have a good description that uses the words you would have used in your keywords. The title and description are what appear in the search results when someone looks for you so make sure it's something that would entice someone to click.
