Delicate Flowers

  1. Cut about 1" from the bottom of each stem at a diagonal angle then place in a vase of fresh water.
  2. Remove all stems and leaves below water level.
  3. Recut stems and change the water in the vase every other day.
  4. As the lilies open, you will need to gently remove the pollen anthers by pinching them off to avoid pollen dust. Pollen can stain clothing and furniture; you can use sticky tape to remove it.

  • Orchids should come with the stems in a water vial. Remove this vial and cut about 1/2" off the bottom of the stem and submerge in fresh water for 5-10 minutes.
  • Place orchids into a vase filled with fresh water and flower food.
  • Keep away from direct sunlight and drafts, and mist the orchid blossoms frequently with water.
  • Recut stems and replace the water every other day.

  1. Cut about 1/2" from the bottom of each stem at a diagonal angle, leaving tulips in their cellophane wrapping.
  2. Place tulips into a vase of fresh water and flower food for 30 minutes, then carefully remove the wrapping.
  3. Keep away from direct sunlight and drafts.
  4. Replace water and cut the stems when the water becomes slightly cloudy.
