Our new "pedi-cab" vehicle should catch the attention of many developing countries, plus those with imagination in "developed" nations too!

2023 update! Though this vehicle performed exceptionally well, as fate would have it the Great Recession crashed upon us at this time and these prototypes never materialized as mass produced products. We focused instead on supporting existing products while developing other non-related business.

Pick-up and personal trike versions that were to follow would have easily replaced a car or small truck for shorter distance applications. While lowering cost of travel substantially, a minimum amount of CO2 emissions are produced if the power is generated from fossil fuel plants. No emissions if charged with solar or wind power

Using 36V 40Ah batteries, an average 20A current draw when requiring high torque from low gear motor, transitioning to higher speed from the high gear motor means the vehicle could run for 4 hours...or longer with solar cells covering the canopy absorbing the sun while the cab is waiting for a fare. Smaller batteries could be used with more frequent charging.

Unlike other similar vehicles made in Asia, the two speed automatic electric system makes all drivers experts at optimizing efficiency, plus being able to handle loads and steep hills greater than 15 degrees! In hilly areas of Asia electric vehicles are less popular than the gasoline versions. Until now these noisy and polluting gas vehicles have been their only options if they want to get up that hill or go very far with a single motor that must provide both torque and speed with no ability to gear up or down.

Enclosed versions will make the new trikes popular in harsher climates.

Just before the Great Recession we also teamed up with engineers to develop a heavier duty, high speed electric utility tricycle.

This non-pedal vehicle was designed to replace heavier golf-cart type utility vehicles used for ground maintenance, industrial / convention hall mobility, and more. It could be used on streets also with proper lighting and licensing.

Like the above pedicab, it includes an automatic multiple speed electric drive system to maximize energy efficiencies. The result is a vehicle capable of 100 plus miles per charge.

We'd like to eventually produce this vehicle also, so contact us if you're an Angel Investor or have access to stimulus monies floating about. We believe these two e-trikes could generate far greater returns in the near term for the US taxpayer than a handful of expensive Tesla, Audi, or other luxury e-cars presently being subsidized with our tax dollars. It's time other than the wealthy be able to cash in on government hand-outs so as to afford clean vehicles.

Pacific Gas and Electric, the local power utility in Northern California commissioned us to produce a solar powered version of the popular EZ3-SX trike. They've been taking this trike to events to promote their environmental awareness.

While maintaining this trike, we noticed PG & E had just bought more than an dozen Chevy Volts as part of their employee fleet. We have mixed feelings about using a gas engine to generate electricity for the electric drive system, instead of running the gas engine directly to the drive train once reaching higher speeds. It seems less efficient, though perhaps simpler than other hybrid-electric designs. After Toyota and Ford released their plug-in hybrids, we saw which systems were preferred by the public.

GM continues to flounder with the purely electric Volt's battery safety issues. It's too bad they haven't used the larger cell, less volatile LFP (iron phosphate) batteries. In our view opting for cobalt type small size cell increased fire hazard likelihood. Though Tesla is using similar cobalt type batteries in their USA made cars, the Chinese made Teslas use the less dangerous LFP type made in China. Rumor has it that LFP will also be produced at Tesla's battery plant near Reno, NV.


Meanwhile we continue to produce various versions of the "2nd Generation Charger bike", "Mark II" version worthy of the original Charger's reputation.

To date we've sold over a thousand of these legendary e-bikes, and expect to see these and more on the road for many years to come!
