Beagle or Bagel Virus in Email
During the first week of March 2004, we have noticed a virus that is getting spread via a cleverly worded email. Some of these emails appear as if they were sent from support@eznettools.com or something similar. The message of the email sounds like a legitimate warning, but in fact contains a virus. The wording of the email is something like the following.
Dear User of "your domain name" email server,

We warn you about some attacks on your email account. You computer may contain viruses, in order to keep your computer and email account safe, please follow the instructions.

Advanced details can be found in attached file.

In order to read the attach you have to use the following password: 84278.

Best Wishes,

"Somebody you know"
The words above that are in quotes are likely to contain a domain name or an email address you know. If you get an email like this, DO NOT OPEN THE ATTACHMENT. It contains a virus. You are safe as long as you do not open it. It would be a good idea to delete the email so that there is no way by accident of opening the attachment.
