Phase 1 of Catalog Upgrade

Phase 1 of Catalog Update

On Wednesday, November 16 we completed the first phase of the catalog update.  Since this version of the catalog is completely new software for the catalog display, there are a large number of supporting programs that must be moved from our development environment to the live servers.  This takes time requires and attention to details.  This process is like building the foundation of a large building.  There was a lot of important work completed, but there is nothing visible above ground.  Similarly, upon completion of this phase, there were no visible indications of the change.

We are planning a second phase to the upgrade on about Monday, November 21.  You will see a complete change in how the catalog configuration and regional settings pages look and feel.  Only some of the configuration options will be available at this time.   This update will also include a number of other changes that will not be visible.   Approximately a week after this upgrade, will come phase three that will provide a more complete set of configuration options.
