EZ-Online Mail Upgrade

The EZ-OnlineMail software will be upgraded on Wednesday, September 3, 2003. We are sure you will be pleased with the new look and feel. We have been using this new software internally at EZ-NetTools for over six months. Also several adventurous customers have been using this software for the same period of time with great success. The programs have been very stable and much easier to use than the current EZ-OnlineMail.
Due to the recent worms and viruses on the internet, we have accelerated this upgrade. The new version is more efficient, making it easier to weather the swarms of emails experienced last month. Unfortunately, not all planned features have been included yet. However, because of these recent events, we feel we must move ahead.
If you use software like Microsoft Outlook Express to down load your emails, this upgrade does not affect you and you can ignore this message.
CONVERSION PROCESS

Sometime Wednesday afternoon, September 3, the upgrade will occur. When you log into EZ-Online mail the new version will be loaded. The first time you launch this new version you will be asked to complete some information about yourself such as your name, email address, time zone, etc.
You should be able to see any messages received since the last time you logged into the older version of EZ-NetTools. However, it will take us about 24 hours to convert your old messages, folders, and address lists from the old mail system to the new one. This process should be completed sometime on Thursday. If by Friday, you do not see your old messages and address list, contact technical support. If there are any messages you need during this period, you should download or print them before Wednesday afternoon. Some folder names cannot be converted from the old system to the new one. In these cases, a slightly modified name will be given to the old folder.

FUTURE ENHANCEMENTS

There is one feature available in the old version that is not yet available in the new. The current version cannot yet accumulate mail from multiple accounts. We are working on a solution for this. In the meantime there is work around. You can forward mail from one mail account to another. To do this you need to log into the account which should be forwarded and specify the email account where it should be forwarded.
Also, the help text has not been reviewed nor completed.

We have also installed a mail filtering system. In its current form, it is only filtering out the major viruses and labeling selected spam messages. Our plan is to enhance these features in the future and provide you more filtering options in the future.
