We are working on a program that will make it easier to transfer files from your personal computer to your EZ-NetTools account. It will require substantially fewer mouse clicks to select multiple files to transfer. The graphic above shows a beta version of the pages used to select and group of files. With one click of the blue arrow button, all the files are uploaded. A beta version of this program became available in July 2004. We are providing a beta version because this feature functions differently from any other tool in the EZ-NetTools set. We want to thoroughly test out this new approach. More users will help us test it more completely. The difference with this tool is a small program that you must down load onto your computer. Prior to this update, all of the EZ-NetTools programs have resided on our computers. This feature requires a program on your computer and one on our servers. For those who are interested in experimenting with the beta version, click here. You will be presented with the standard file download and software installing prompts. We have not completed the instructions yet, so you are somewhat on your own. However, you can give technical support a call. Be patient with them as they are currently learning the tool and writing the help text. Your questions will actually help them write better instructions. This program will look a lot like FTP (File Transfer Protocol). One of the most frequent requests we receive is to allow FTP access to our servers. FTP is a very good, a very common, and a very efficient tool for moving files from one computer to another. Unfortunately, any server that allows FTP access has opened a huge security hole. The new enhancement we are working on will function much like FTP but will be more secure.
