| I would like to suggest the calendar get revamped. It's a bit cumbersome to use and it'd be nice to have it displayed in a more traditional way, perhaps with links on each day to show more detail. |

| I really want to see the tools move to a CSS based system. It's more flexible, easier to maintain, and saves bandwidth. It would enable webmasters to maintain/update entire sites without having to go into each page and change each block. That would help text as well as the calendar, as well as bulleting boards, etc. |

Let me address the issues that several of you have raised.
CATALOG IMPORT. The biggest project now is to improve the catalog import and export process. The catalog import is cumbersome and does not fully support all of the features that we have added to the catalog recently. Unfortunately, as the catalog has become more complex with nested categories and product options, the import will also be more complex. We have been striving to make the catalog import more robust but also providing for a simple import for those with simple catalogs.
CASCADING STYLE SHEETS. We are very excited about the power and flexibility of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). Some of the updates we have done this year to EZ-PageBuilder and the new catalog layout provide for Style Sheets. We have been hampered in the past from doing much with CSS for two reasons. First, the popular versions of browsers did not consistently support the CSS standards. As a result, we could never be sure what a page would look like in various browsers. Even today, we continue to experience some cross browser compatibility issues with the new catalog layout that uses CSS extensively. Second, a page builder based on CSS would be substantially different than one based on HTML like it is now. Consequently, we cannot just evolve the current EZ-Pagebuilder. For example, currently, EZ-PageBuilder uses tables extensively, which are not required nor necessarily desirable in CSS. Consequently, developing a CSS based PageBuilder will be a big project that will take a long time to develop.
Until the time when we can provide a CSS based page builder, take advantage of the CSS “hooks” that have been added to several EZ-PageBuilder blocks this year.
CALENDAR. We plan to update the calendar but do not have a date set yet.
EZ-NetTools has evolved from a strictly wholesale business to a combination of wholesale and retail provider of web sites. Consequently, the features that our retail salesman report their customers are asking for, tend to move up in the priority list for future development. Since our wholesale customers are facing the same market place, this approach should be equally beneficial for them. |

Great news! IE7 has now officially been released. Don't count on wide use until it is delivered as an automatic update the first week of November but it's here. That means CSS support.
I appreciate Joseph's comments regarding the CSS 'hooks' that have been implemented into the tools, but they are just still too unwieldy. As he said, the tools puts everything into tables, it doesn't use standard html elements like the h1, p, etc. so to use CSS with the tools, everything must be put into classes...(class="h1" just doesn't make sense).
I really feel that creating a CSS version of the tools will:
- modernize the tools once again
- make it 1000x easier to create/maintain a site (i.e.- "go into global settings and change all h1's to green and arial")
- reduce load on their servers
- reduce individual page sizes
- make their client's sites accessible (which is the law now)
All it will take is to create a global settings page that creates a .css file and then set all the pages to link to that file. Forget divs, they can come later.
Those are my two cents.

| Any plans for DVIX downloads or purchasing support of DVIX or other electronic files (software, music, videos, etc). The current file limitation as I understand it is 4 MB. This contraint requires larger downlods to be broken up into smaller files. Another issue that would need work for sales of electronic download media is the way the catalog work for this type product. For this type product, a feature that redirects customers to a secure download page is needed. A followup email with the secure link and time constrained password would also be needed in cases where the customer needed to download the files over a period of time (say 48 hours). Other options would be to model the download and purchase similar to ITunes or RealNetworks. |

Any news? We'd all like to know what EZ-Net has up its sleeve next. What are you working on? Any improvement on CSS support? (i.e.- doctype, tagging text as being h1, or p? CSS based global settings?)
