Debugging HTML and Javascript Code, Teletraining

Teletraining courses are designed to meet the needs of a single person. Therefore, the actual course content may vary from the outline below based on the desires and needs of the student.

Course Description

For advanced users, adding custom HTML and Javascript to a web page can extend the functions of the page. Often the HTML code does not function correctly.  When this happens, having someone else review the code can help find the problems.  We can help when this occurs.  Depending on the nature of the problem, the technical support person may spend most of the time off line, only interacting with you over the phone as is needed.

Goals and objectives

In this course we will help find and repair errors in your HTML or Javascript code. We can also answer any questions you may have about HTML and Javascript code.

Content and Topics

  • Find and repair errors in HTML code.
  • Find and repair errors in basic Javascript code
  • Teach basic HTML code to student.

Prerequisites

  • You must have an understanding of basic EZ-PageBuilder functions such as finding a page to edit, adding and editing blocks, saving pages, previewing pages, etc.
  • It would be helpful if you has a basic understanding of HTML.
  • If the problem involves Javascript then you should have some basic understanding of Javascript.

Estimated time

The effort to debug code varies depending on the complexity and length of the code.  Debugging complex HTML and Javascript code could take many hours.  We will try to give you an idea of whether the problem will be simple or complex before we get started.  Note: we are not experts in Javascript.  Therefore, very complex Javascript may be beyond our ability to debug.  We will let you know if we think this is the case.
