Foal Trainer

Lori Ann Thwing

Lori Ann Thwing joined our Dream Team in 2022 as our head foal handler/trainer. She has extensive experience working with more than 150 Friesian foals since she began in 2010. She believes in imprinting (handling early and often), balancing a Friesian foal's innate love for humans with teaching them good manners in and out of the stall. "There is nothing cute about a pushy foal."

Malindi Thwing

Mali Thwing recently joined out Dream Team as the adult horse trainer. She has been working with horses since she was 6 years old. For the horses we chose to keep, Mali continues their training and works with the older mares as well. She focuses on ground work and ground manners as well as working with our farrier.

Melissa Ashcraft

Owner and head instructor of Transitions Equestrian Center

Melissa Ashcraft is an Upper Level Dressage Instructor/Clinician who competes/trains at the Intermediate II level in dressage. Melissa traveled the world such as the UK, Canada, Hawaii and the entire US and worked with the best trainers and riders in the business. Melissa spent 5 years riding with the World Famous Lipizzaner Stallion Show and offers beginner through advanced levels in the following disciplines:

Jumping
Western
Colt Starting
Natural Horsemanship
Showmanship
