MAJOR SALES BREAKTHROUGH!

We are consistently breaking sales records and hope you are enjoying the same sales growth that we are!   We attribute much of the growth to the market research we shared last summer.   With just a few adjustments to our sales approach, we have been able to experience a steady climb of website sales. 

Of course, we want to make sure you, a valued EZ-NetTools Reseller, have the opportunity to ride the wave, too. 

Many people ask us, "how are you doing it?"  The answer stems from what we learned last July.  

JULY '05 MARKET RESEARCH

In July 2005, we sent out a newsletter full of market research.  As a quick summary, there were three main things we learned:

  1. Small business owners didn't typically want to build their websites themselves.
  2. Business owners typically did want to have more control over the maintenance of the website.
  3. Business owners are more knowledgeable and able to comprehend the differences between the standard hosting company and our Hostware(r) technology.

From our research, we recognized that the market had changed and shifted directly into the strengths of EZ-NetTools!  The ability for our customers to have a custom website professionally designed and then be able to maintain the website themselves is a HUGE competitive advantage

As we discovered this information, we immediately modified our sales approach and encouraged our resellers to do the same.  We stopped providing the "self serve" website option where the customer created their own website.  

THE ANSWER

Back to our question, how did we do it? Here are the key items that continue to help us achieve our incredible sales increase:

  1. Sales Focus. We maintain a constant push on sales. We establish long-term "benchmark" goals and short-term monthly goals. Each day we review the goals and apply massive sales effort.
  2. Smooth Bidding Process. We developed a system to provide bids efficiently and that specifically outline the services we intend to provide. Our bids are colorful and informational and are presented in a professional manner by a Website Sales Consultant.
  3. Stick with the Scope. With our bid proposals, we set a clearly defined scope of the project. We make sure it is well defined because the natural tendency of your customer is to add "just one more thing."  All of the "one more things" add up and cost money.  Continually adding "one more thing" is called  "scope creep." As the scope of the project creeps, it denotes more work and less profit for you. Of course, we are happy to do more work and will be pleased to provide an updated quote for additional work.
  4. Developing Talent.   5. Customer Communication. Keeping in contact with our customers during the development of a website is critical!  Customers are anxious for feedback and progress. Setting proper expectations and then delivering when promised makes the work flow much more simple and keeps your customers happy. When communication fails, customers become uneasy and upset.

NEW SLOGAN & MARKETING

To launch into our new sales arena we wanted to exploit our competitive advantage. To do this we developed a new slogan that specifically states our competitive advantage, "Custom Websites You Can Maintain!" 

We suggest you use similar terms in your marketing and sales lingo. When asked how your services are different or even what your business does, you can say something like, "we develop custom websites that our clients can maintain." 

This is very unique. No one else uses the EZ-NetTools system powered by Hostware(r). No one else has ability to modify as much of their website as with the exclusive EZ-NetTools system. Only EZ-NetTools and our resellers!

NEW RESELLER RESOURCES

Many of our resellers find it difficult to keep up with current design trends and technology like Macromedia's Flash. We also realize that many of our resellers are working they're EZ-NetTools business part time.  To help our resellers, our award winning design team now offers a full range of design services.

This way if you need us to develop some Flash animation, top-notch designs, or other aspects of your website we'll be here to support you. We will do as little or as much as you would like us to do. We'll work directly with your customer or through you.

CONCLUSION

We have had a terrific 8 months of sales. There are plenty of businesses and organizations that need websites. Our market research has proven to be correct -- business owners want professional looking websites but also want more control of the maintenance.
