Log Repair

This lake cottage had been sealed with an oil based laquer for as long as anyone could remember. The laquer along with a lack of gutters on the home caused log rot, especially on the back deck where water splashed back on the logs over the years. Rotten logs were a perfect setting for insects to move in and cause additional damage. The first step was to cob blast the home. Then we cleaned again with specialized wood cleaners to kill the mold and mildew. The rotten log sections were removed and matching log profiles were reattached.

Full Log Corner Replacement

A Perfect Match! These corner logs were completely rotted and needed to be replaced. The difficulty was the log manufacturer of this home was no longer in business. We work with the top log suppliers in the country. We found a supplier in Idaho that was able to mill these logs to a close size and our crew shaped them to the exact specifications on the job site.
