Fun With Rob and Alison

Richard's brother, Rob and his wife Alison, were sweet enough to let us stay at their house during our trip to Utah. We arrived on June 13th (Friday) and stayed through Sunday. They just moved into a new home a few months ago, so they were very brave to take on our crew! We were so happy to be able to spend some time with them, and have the opportuniy to see lots of other family on our trip as well. After the Smith reunion on Saturday, we met up with them at Thanksgiving Point. They took us to see all the animals, and then we went to the movie "Kung Fu Panda". We had a great time.

The one disadvantage of being around farm animals??? Just look at Thomas.

These next few pictures are of the kids having pony rides. I was especially surprised at how comfortable Sarah was with the ponies. She has been known to be uneasy around animals, but she acted like it was no big deal!

If our kids had to go to jail, at least we would know they could have fun climbing the bars.

While at Thanksgiving Point, Thomas decided to spend some money he had saved on these cheap toy guns. It was cute to watch James use all of his might to shoot them. He would go through the house shooting and saying "Pew! Pew! Pew!" (Of course, you have to imagine "Pew" with the spit sound.) I think all boys are born with a natural ability to create any kind of sound-affect. (cars, airplanes, shooting, explosions, etc.)

James and William especially liked shooting me from the balcony.

Although Rob and Alison do not have young girls, Alison's love of little girls shows in this cute little room. (She is also the reason Sarah and Marianne had such cute hairdo's. What a cool Aunt!) Though the girl's were especially excited about this, all the kids had a lot of fun in here. Before we left, Melissa and Josh were there visiting with Richard's parents. Here is Josh playing with the girls.

Me and Alison. Thanks again for the great hospitality Rob and Alison! We had a ton of fun!
