Halloween and Stuff

I can't believe how much stuff went on this month. No wonder I felt so busy all the time. I am just going to put the last few main events of October on one page to make it easier. First, is me and the kids carving pumpkins. Since we didn't do it for FHE this year, Richard opted out so he could catch up on some practicing he needed to do for school. We didn't have to buy any pumpkins this year, because we just used what we grew in the garden. Each of the kids got their own mini pumpkin to do with what they wanted, and I carved one big family pumpkin that Sarah designed.

These next few pictures were taken at Thomas' school play called, "The Best Halloween Ever". Thomas was Ralph Herdman. Here he is saying his one line.

I love that Thomas is in the same class as his cousin, Ashley. She is the one in the white shirt.

Thomas is in the big bear costume. I feel bad I couldn't get a better picture, but the lighting was pretty bad.

Thomas and Marianne after the play.

The kids getting ready to go Trick-or-Treating on Halloween.

We went to the Trunk-or-Treat, and James and Sarah quit a little early so they could eat their treats in the trunk. How appropriate.

Next, we visited Richard's parents in Rigby. They always have a lot of Trick-or-Treaters so Richard planned ahead. He brought an amplifier and hid it on their front porch. Then, he hooked up a microphone and strung the cord through the window to the inside. When the kids came, he startled them with his scary sounds using his deep voice. Don't worry, he went easy on the little ones. What made this so funny was Thomas and Josh who couldn't stop laughing. They thought it was the funniest thing ever.

Melissa, the mad scientist, and her assistant, Beaker. She is always so creative with costumes. I love to see what she comes up with each year.

One more picture of the cute little mouse and Mario.
