Additional Enhancements to EZ-PageBuilder Blocks

Introduction

Today we continued the enhancements to several EZ-PageBuilder Blocks.  These enhancements build upon the upgrades we made last month.

Title Block

The Title Block now has similar options as the Simple Text Block.  You can now add a back ground color, a back ground image, and a border.  You can also specify the padding to go around the text in the block.  If you are familiar with Cascading Style Sheets, you can now specify a CSS Class for this block.  Click here for some samples of how the Simple text block can be configured.  The big difference between these two blocks is that you can easily create a link with a title block.

Using these new features, you can create links that look a lot like buttons.  The advantage of this design method is that it is more search engine friendly and is easier to maintain than graphics.

Font/Color/Size and Color Picker Now Remembers Colors

The Font/Color/Size feature will now remember the previous color selections.  The Color Picker feature does the same.  You will no longer have to remember or write down the last color that you used for a font.   So, if you work on more than one EZ-NetTools account, it will remember the last several colors you selected.  If you are working on many accounts, there are some additional features.

Cascading Style Sheets Specifications on Several Blocks

As mentioned above, you can now specify the CSS Class for the Title Block.  With this upgrade you can also specify the CSS Class on the Simple Text Block and the Layout Manager.  The CSS Class is an advanced method of formatting page elements.  Cascading Style Sheets are very powerful formatting tools that are used extensively on dynamic pages such as the catalog pages.  They are becoming and will continue to be one of the most powerful tools for developing websites.  Unfortunately, they are also a little more complex and require more technical knowledge than many of our customers want.  Consequently, as we add more and more CSS capabilities to EZ-NetTools, we will continue to make it possible to develop web pages without needing any knowledge of this technology.
